Well we had a
lovely time on our holiday but as always for a hermit like me it’s good to be
back home.
Before I went away
I worked hard and got these 4 paintings ready to pop in my etsy shop as soon as
I got back, I chose the colour purple for this week, not a colour I use that
often but I think I might be converted ;o)
These 4 are all
available to purchase in my etsy shop right now.
First up is the 3rd
of my ‘The Garden Of’ series
This one is
painted on one of my favourite cradled wood panels,
9 ½ x7 inches
The Garden Of Wonder:
Yet another girl
with fabulous blossomy hair, I think I’m getting addicted to these girls a
little bit.
8x8 inches on flat
canvas board.
Flourish:
This girl is very
serene looking and seems totally at peace surrounded by her flowers.
6x6 inches on flat
canvas board.
Sanctuary:
I chose a bit of a
folky laurel leaf feel to go with this girl and I am loving this bright purple
background.
A5 on flat canvas
board.
Whispers in the
Garden:
Well that’s me
done for this weekend
I will be
organizing a give-away this coming Wednesday (20th June) to celebrate
my reaching 400 sales in my etsy shop.
The week after that: Wednesday 27th
June will be the first of several ‘Etsy Wednesday’ blog posts in which I will
give bite size weekly chunks of information about the up’s and down’s of
selling on Etsy for beginners.
Stay tuned
Micki x

Good to know you had a lovely holiday, but glad to see you back. Looking forward to your posts about Etsy, I was going to ask if you sold many paintings and you answered it for me. I have pondered on the idea of joining Etsy but as I'm very unsure of it I've avoided it. May be you will change that for me and I'll dip into it too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 400 sales and welcome back!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou must know that I love these with my favourite colour of all! Gorgeously painted flowers Mickey, hope you had a lovely holiday and you're back inspired and raring to go! :)
ReplyDeleteJess xx
WOW!!! 400 sales! Congratulations! you did it girl! whooohoo!
ReplyDeleteBut that's no surprise, cause you make the most wonderful paintings ;-)
I can't have an Etsy shop of my own, cause i don't have a creditcard to sign up for a shop and they won't let me open a shop without one...even if i never need the card again :-(
So i put my stuff in a friend his etsy shop. we called it SoDarkSoCuties. The only thing is when i sell someting, the money goes to his paypal acount and than he has to send it to me.
Wish Etsy changed their rules...
These are lovely Micki! Purple suits you :)
ReplyDeleteI would need all the help I can get as I have tried to sell art before with no luck :( Looking forward to the posts.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Micki! Your purple creations are very thoughtful...I really love the one on the cradled board...the big flowers are like that wonderful vintage wallpaper you would see in a bedroom back in the 70's..I think it was the 70's. Not sure, I am not a historian at all...LOL.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your Etsy posts. I have avoided Etsy so far...was not feeling like there was room for me. But sales directly from my blog are slow and it would be fun to boost things up a bit.
I am happy you are back. I always miss you when you are gone. Have a great weekend.
I'm glad you had a lovely holiday! And I'm glad you are back!
ReplyDeleteLoves to you :)
I love purple and I love all these paintings ;o) So happy you are back Micki ;o) Missed you! Congrats on 400 sales and yeh for us, a giveaway ;o) I like Etsy, so it will be interesting to read what you say ;o)
ReplyDeleteYaaay welcome back, looking forward to your etsy posts xx
ReplyDeleteHolidays are always fun and give us a different perspective. For some of us it feeds our creativity. Your colors are really nice in the artwork. Have a fabulous weekend.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Micki! I too don't usually work with purple, but perhaps I should give it a try, your pieces look lovely. And love the big flowery backgrounds that you have been doing lately. I too look forward to Etsy selling advice.
ReplyDeleteTake Care

Oooh... these girls are lovely! I've always liked purple myself, and it shows in some of my work. Never had the guts to use that much green though... it reminds me too much of the icky green syrup my mom used to make me drink. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having nice weather... Will be back for the giveaway! :)) oxx
You really did a lot before you left for your holiday. I like these girls a lot, but especially the one with the flourish hair. I can understand that you get addicted to creating those girls. I will follow your posts about Etsy, that sounds really interesting. I'm far away from 400 sales - well done!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back lovely Micki. Love these floral series. My fav this week is 'Flourish'. Beautiful. Xo
